La vitamina C tambi\u00e9n mejora la absorci\u00f3n del hierro presente en los alimentos de origen vegetal y contribuye al buen funcionamiento del sistema inmunitario para proteger al cuerpo contra las enfermedades.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfC\u00f3mo podemos incorporarla?<\/p>\n<p>Las frutas y verduras son las mejores fuentes de vitamina C. Para ingerir las cantidades recomendadas de vitamina C, es necesario consumir alimentos variados como: <strong>frutas c\u00edtricas, pimientos rojos y verdes, kiwi, br\u00f3coli, coliflor, repollo, frutillas, papas horneadas y tomates, mel\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El contenido de vitamina C de un alimento podr\u00eda disminuir al cocinarse o almacenarse por tiempo prolongado, por eso cuanto menor sea la exposici\u00f3n al calor o al agua al cocinar los alimentos, mejor se conserva la vitamina.
